The PAM00422 is somewhat similar to a PAM00372, but it has the second hand at 9, and the Luminor Marina designation on the dial, along with the Panerai designation. The 372 seems to be imbalanced with the large black void at the bottom of the dial, almost like it's missing something. Next is the crystal, 422 has a sapphire crystal which is much more durable and resistant to scratches, etc. The 372 has a plexi crystal, which is almost a scratch magnet. The assolutamente strap that comes with the watch is beautiful and conforms very nicely to my wrist, personally I think it's one of the nicest default Panerai straps. Are there any downsides? Maybe but very minor.

Perhaps they're expanding their market to the smaller wristed fellas. Still, 42mm Panerai just doesn't look right in my .
