Went to the Panerai website and chatted online with them regarding this. I’m looking at purchasing a second Panerai and have decided on the PAM720. My only disappointment is that it comes with plexiglass and not sapphire crystal. I understand that the 720 comes with a spare. Can anyone confirm if this spare is also plexiglass? Hello fellow watch enthusiasts, I'm looking for advice / clarification / confirmation regarding the process for replacing a broken crystal on my above referenced watch. The old crystal suddenly developed a "cloudy" ring around the edge of the crystal (looked more like super glue than moisture). I recently read that there is a version of the 372 that was released about last August with a sapphire crystal but then read that the Panerai catalog still says plexiglass. Does anyone know for sure if there is a 372-S Panerai?
I love the big (47+) Panerais, especially the Radiomirs, but don't love the plexiglass crystals. I've tried to find a list of which are plexi but so f They do give you a replacement crystal if the original is scratched beyond repair.
